He paced about hurriedly in his small apartment,a worried expression on his face. His apartment door protested loudly as it was opened and closed  by a sweaty hand. Rain had begun to fall upon his closed windows and he swore that it hid a series of loud crunches. He caught a glance of himself in his mirror and told himself he should calm down.He balled his hands, after wiping the sweat from his brow. He decided to read a book, his eyes swept  his small and now damp collection, eventually deciding on a book about Rome's great architecture. His sweaty palms distracted him,he did not like their feel on the book nor were they able to continue to wipe away the sweat on his forehead. He scratched at his throat as he looked, with longing,at his closed windows. He was tempted to open them but the sound of what he was certain was a footstep crunching leaves in his backyard stopped him. He tried telling himself that he imagined it,the din the rain created should not have allowed him to hear anything outside his room, but fear had made a home in him and was not willing to leave. Fear felt rational to him at that point so he made no more attempts to motivate himself.

The closed door held the rain at bay,the crunching of steps held great importance and it was to be known to all.He could do nothing to stop it and none shall know.this was his fate one he did not try on or wish to have but he could od nothing for nothing existed that which could be done and within his power of thinking and all this was bad and rather bad for everyone that was around the place that he was in while he spent all his time alone without any idea of what was happening within that day and way
